Dedicated Fitness Program

Exclusive to Team BYC ‘All In’ sailors is a dedicated, built in fitness program. Helping our young sailors become well-rounded athletes by building essential off-the-water skills to perform at any venue, in any wind conditions. Program led by Nigel McCarthy, Strength and Conditioning Coach, 3 x Olympic fitness coach, World Sailing appointed Health and Conditioning coach 2019-2021.

ILCA/Opti Offsite Training at Cabrillo
Targeted breeze sessions to prepare sailors for a variety of wind and sea conditions.

ILCA 6 & ILCA 4
Focused training for top-level racing next year, while preparing new sailors to excel at regional and local events. Program led by Lucija Ruzevic and Tania Elias Calles

Sabot Program Expansion
Now includes an extra Sunday practice followed by a fun racing day, with friends and family invited to participate.

Match Racing Returns to Full Strength
A tailored program led by Harrison Vandervort and Frank Dair, preparing our teams to compete internationally in 2026.

Opti Class Upgrade
Three consistent practice days each week led by our top coach, Frank Dair.

Sea Urchins/Learn to Sail
No need to provide anything but a smile and a lifejacket! Led by Carley Simmons, known for inspiring young sailors to develop both sailing skills and a lifelong love for the sport.

⚠ Note: Club boats for Sabot and ILCA 4 are limited and will be assigned on a long-term seasonal rental basis to one sailor for the full season, secure your spot today!
